Fishwick Papers: The "Against Artsploitation" Edition

Good evening my dear Paperees!I write to you from my office in Kirikiriroa Hamilton, Aotearoa. The local independent black box theatre The Meteor has a coworking space upstairs, where I rent a desk. It's a gorgeous space – originally a bottle factory, then a roller disco, now a theatre, a natural progression – and it's very good for my noggin to be able to go somewhere to do work and feel some semblance, however fleeting, of work-life balance.Something I've been working on recently is a series of articles about Westworld and Immersive Theatre. I've found that the tv show Westworld is a useful way to explore and break down some of the key concepts that I use in my immersive, interactive and improvised theatre, and this series is a mini-thesis covering a lot of what I've learned in the last ~6 years. My goal is that it's of use to those looking to get started in experiential theatre, but also of interest to people who've been at it for a while. Let me know what you think! And with that, here is the main course: Links To Things
