Fishwick Papers: The "Dramatic Reading" Edition

Scene One - Night, Apartment Interior.JIM sits, on a bed, laptop on top of his lap. He writes, feverishly, with purpose. He looks down the barrel of the keyboard.JIM: Good evening. I normally write these at work before I leave, but this evening, something else was to happen. I had been working on the short list for the video game exhibition I'm working on, feeling it approach completion, when a conversation with a colleague drew into sharp relief that my list of games wasn't yet quite good enough, wasn't yet quite focused enough. A half-hour or so of fine-tuning made it better - it's not enough to know your intention of presentation, one has to consider the reception of the presentation. The finer details of this negotiation will be published elsewhere in due course, but suffice to say the rearrangement of my list occupied the back half of my to the extent that it drove my beloved Fishwick Papers from my mind.JIM adjusts his posture.JIM: (continuing) So now, dear reader, please enjoy the links which I have enjoyed this week.
