Fishwick Papers: The "I Licked The Chair" Edition

Surprise!Hello Paperites, and welcome to a Fishwick Paper. It's been a minute - last week I was sick on Friday, and the week before I was rushed off my feet with work. I'm sorry for the absence if you missed it, I figured a wait for a quality edition would be better than regular, smaller ones. Do you have a preference? Let me know!At ACMI I've been working on doing some more videogame testing, which should be fun, and another project that I don't think I can talk about, but nonetheless is expanding my technical horizons. We're also continuing to work on the exhibitions we'll be doing after we reopen - which probably means they'll be on in 2020 at the absolute earliest. It's a fun challenge to meet high curatorial rigour at one end, visitation targets at the other end, and what makes a topic an exhibition, rather than an article or a video essay. Watch this space!Outside of work I'm in Impro Melbourne's Grand Exotic Budapescht Hotel - if you're in Melbourne, do come along! It's a delightful show, and I'm very proud of it. Last night I went to see the Breaker Upperers, which was fun, I've been bingeing Killing Eve on ABC iView (really, it's great, check it out), and on Wednesday I started a game of Good Society, a Jane Austen-themed roleplay.Finally, I got to interview game designer Ally McLean about games, storytelling, and [smooshing hand gestures].
